As I pull onto the quiet streets of Middle Creek, I can already feel the calm start to settle in. There’s something about this neighborhood, the wide streets, the canopy of mature trees, and the sense of pride in every home that lines the road. The springtime show has already begun: dogwoods and cherry trees are blooming, azaleas are bursting in color, and it feels like nature is just showing off a little.

And then there it is, this all-brick Southern charmer sitting proudly at the edge of the lake. It’s framed perfectly by tall trees and flowering shrubs, just enough shade and privacy without hiding the beauty. The setting sun glistens on the water behind it, and I haven’t even walked through the door yet.

Coming through the double front doors, I step into a wide foyer that floods with natural light. The glow of the hardwood floors bounces sunlight through every space, and there's not a stitch of carpet anywhere, my kind of home. To the right, a generous dining room stretches out, just waiting for baby showers, engagement parties, or holiday feasts.

Miles of granite counters and more cabinets than I could fill, though I’d love to try. I see a wine cooler tucked just right into the layout, perfect for keeping my favorite bottles chilled and ready. Just off the kitchen, there’s a large laundry room that can double as a walk-in pantry.

But what really caught my breath was the access to the screened-in porch and the huge deck just beyond it. The lake stretches out like a living painting, and the deck gives afront row seat to it all. Grill out with friends, watch the sun dip below the treetops, or just sit with a book and listen to the birds.

This outdoor space turns every day into a vacation. The family room is massive. I mean truly spacious.

It’s got the kind of room that lets you bring in that oversized sectional and still have space to move. The wet bar tucked off to the side is such a nice touch, imagine mixing up a quick cocktail during game night or serving up drinks for friends on a Friday night in. It makes entertaining just a little more fun.

The primary suite on the main level is tucked privately away with its own access and a bath that feels like a retreat. There’s a large walk-in shower, a soaking tub deep enough for the longest of bubble baths, and yes, even a bidet, because why not have a little luxury? The hardwoods continue in here, with tile in just the right spots.

Upstairs, there’s another primary suite that I completely fell in love with. A large private bath, generous closet space, and then—my favorite part, the balcony. It overlooks the lake like it was made for morning coffee, evening wine, and every peaceful moment in between.

The view is breathtaking. It’s quiet, calming, and makes me feel like I’ve found a secret escape just outside my own door. There’s another guest bedroom and full guest bath on this level too, and again, the hardwoods carry through, no surprises, just beautiful, consistent design.

Heading down to the basement, there’s even more space. Two additional bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bath, perfect for weekend guests or a full house during the holidays. There’s a cozy rec room down here too, anchored by a fireplace that begs for winter nights and movie marathons.

And from here, you can step right outside to the covered patio—just under the deck above, and head straight to the lake. Here, the outdoors become part of your daily rhythm. Middle Creek is more than just beautiful, it’s peaceful, established, and filled with neighbors who care.
